Buller District Libraries have a number of clubs, programmes and challenges which run throughout the year.

Yearly Reading Challenge
Buller District Libraries runs a reading challenge for both adults and children each year. All you have to do is read books under each category throughout the year. You can join in at any time.
Bring in your completed entry to the library before December 31, 2024, to go into the draw to win awesome prizes (announced in February 2025). Or, email your form to [email protected]
The Westport Book Club
Come along to the Library to have a cuppa, and discuss the books we have all been reading. Newcomers are always welcome.
When: Every third Wednesday of the month, at 11.00 am.

Writing Group is a great way to meet like-minded people, hone your craft and get helpful feedback.

Scrabble Saturdays
Do you love to play Scrabble? Join us for a free drop-in Scrabble session. All welcome.
When: Every Saturday from 10.00 am - 1.00 pm

Tuesday Club Westport
Tuesday Club is the place to be after school for games, Lego and crafts! If you have school-aged children looking for something fun to do, they can come and join us!
When: Every Tuesday during the school term, from 3.00 pm – 4.30 pm.

The Reefton Knitting Club
Whether you’re a seasoned knitter or a knitting novice, come along and get involved.
When: The first Thursday of every month, at 10.00 am

When: Every Thursday after School from 3.00 pm - 4.00 pm.
