Buller District Libraries have teamed up with the Digital Inclusion Alliance Aotearoa to offer Skinny Jump.
Skinny Jump is a programme designed to help more New Zealanders gain access to affordable broadband at home.
The programme provides heavily subsidised connectivity to thousands of households at risk of being digitally excluded due to cost.
Who can join Skinny Jump?
Jump uses Skinny’s 4G wireless network so there is no fibre or landline connection and no installation cost. No credit references or credit checks are needed, and there are no fixed-term contracts. You will need to live in an area that is covered by the Skinny network. You can check if your address is covered here.
You may be eligible for Skinny Jump if one or more of the following applies to you:
- Families with children
- Job seekers
- Seniors
- People with disabilities
- Refugees and migrant communities
- Those in social housing

How do I sign up?
Come in and see us, we will check your eligibility and help you to sign up for Skinny Jump. We will also give you a modem and help you to create a Skinny account.
